Research Interests:
Colin is interested in multiple areas of study within mental health studies. These include the relationship between culture and sub-culture with significant life outcomes, the pursuit and impact of meaning in life, impression formation and its social consequences, and concepts of giftedness. Currently, as a research assistant, Colin is conducting research that examines how personal heritage influences creative expression later in life. His previous thesis work focused on creating neural network models to simulate immediate impression formation in the visual system from a connectionist perspective, thereby exploring how humans may structure relationships between various ethno-racial groups and gender identities.
