Research Interests:
Colin is interested in multiple areas of study. These include culture and sub-culture's association with important life outcomes; the pursuit and impact of meaning in life; impression formation and social consequences; giftedness; and more. Currently, Colin is conducting research examining how personal heritage impacts creative expression later in life. His previous thesis work involves creating neural network models to simulate immediate impression formation in the visual system from a connectionist perspective, thereby exploring how humans may structure relationships between different ethno-racial groups and gender identities.
